Hello. I'm offering mandolin lessons for folks just getting started and for those who have been at it awhile and want to move to the next level.
I'm a working, experienced pro who's been performing for 40 yrs and teaching almost as long. References available.
If you're a guitarist, bassist, or whatever...and would like to branch out by adding mandolin to your tool kit, you can take a lesson using one of my mandolins to see if it's for you before you plunk down money on one.
Since all students are different with different needs and different styles of learning... YOUR lessons are geared and tailored directly towards YOUR needs and are not "one size fits all" cookie cutter lessons.
I'll work with you to address the specific area(s) that you feel need attention and together we'll tailor YOUR lesson(s) towards that end. You can learn the fundamentals of music, chord theory, how to achieve a great tone on acoustic or electric, or just gain some insight into issues that might be holding you back.
Bluegrass, Folk, Country, Rock, Blues, Jazz,...all styles and genres of music.
Any style of music can be addressed. Lessons are insightful and fun. Together we can work on songs, scales, chords, arpeggios, licks, notation, exercises, and tablature. We can talk about developing efficient and successful practice habits and routines. And if necessary we can diagnose any bad habits and work towards correcting them.
Learn at your own pace. One on One with no pressure, deadlines, or contracts to sign.
All study materials will be provided, you will never be asked to buy any books.
I give lessons out of my home studio in Tebbetts. $25 for an hour lesson. I'm just 10 min from JC....30 min from Columbia. If you're serious about learning/improving, that's only a small investment in time.
Take one lesson to have a question or two addressed and answered, or take as many as you like.
