Crape Myrtle:
Bellini-Grape and Bellini Raspberry. Both are smaller bushes, growing 3-4 ft tall and wide.
They thrive in full sun, blooming July-September.
(We have dark leaf crape myrtle that bloom red, and lavender. Rumblin-Red and Lavender-Blast. $24.97.)
Hydrangea: These are sun-loving bushes.
Limelight blooms come out lime green then turn cream as the summer progresses. Gets 6-8 ft tall.
Phantom blooms emerge pale green and mature from bright white to pale pink by early fall. Gets 6-10 ft tall.
Sundae Fraise blooms open creamy white, turn strawberry pink as they age, before taking on a rich pinkish-red in fall. Gets 4-5 ft tall.
Barberries: Crimson Pygmy, Orange Rocket, Rose Glow.
Weigela: Alexandra, Dark Horse, Magic Carpet, My Monet. Hummingbirds love these.
Butterfly bush: Dapper White. (Also have Pugster Blue. $26.97.) Great pollinators for the garden.
Arborvitae: Emerald Green, Green Giant Arborvitae, Holmstrup, Little Giant, Yellow Ribbon.
Boxwood: Green Mountain, Green Velvet, Wintergreen.These can be pruned to shape.
Azalea: Pleasant White, Renee Michelle. Lavender, white, and deep pink.
Viburnum: Popcorn. Popcorn-like clusters (2-3” diameter) of white flowers cover the shrub in a profuse spring bloom (late April-May).
Spirea: Goldmound and Little Princess.
Juniper,: Grey Owl and Old Gold.
Burning Bush, Purple Leaf Sandcherry, Snowflake Mock Orange, Goldfinger Potentilla, Royal Jubilee Ninebark. $18.97.
